Come visit our new Northern African lion cubs!
Two litters of rare Northern African lion cubs have born here at Whipsnade Zoo within just 2 months of each other. Three-year-old lioness Winta had three cubs late last year and they have just been joined by lioness Waka's four cubs, born late January. Come and see them as they grow fast!

Every new birth is a cause for celebration, so we're doubly excited that for the first time in decades, we've got two infant giraffes at Whipsnade Zoo. Visit Giraffe Heights to see the new arrivals - already 7ft tall and growing up-up-up fast!

Discover Whipsnade's white rhinos, including the newest addition to the 'crash' (the name for a group of rhinos), born in 2024. The baby boy weighed in at a whopping 45kg at birth and is just one member of the spring baby boom at Whipsnade which also included a spiny bundle of porcupine joy, and a langur in our new Monkey Forest exhibit.

How to get here
Whipsnade Zoo is well connected to major towns and main roads - despite our beautiful rural location on top of the Chiltern hills, we're within just 20 minutes of the M25, M1 and A41.
We've got a huge free car park and there's a new direct bus service from Luton this year (Saturdays, Sundays and daily during school holidays), so it's never been easier to come and visit!
