Penguin feed experience at Whipsnade Zoo
Eligibility and how to enter
- Entry to the Penguin Feed Experience "Prize Draw" is valid only when purchasing a Gift Zoo Membership Voucher.
- The prize draw closes at 23:59 on 5 January 2026. Entries received after the closing date will not be accepted. The winner will be selected at random after the closing date.
- There will be one winner chosen from all eligible entries.
- Entries will end on 5th January 2026 and any entries after this date will not be entered into the Prize Draw.
The prize
- The lucky winner will enjoy a Penguin Feed Experience for a group of up to six (6) people at Whipsnade Zoo.
- Please note that Zoo admission is not included. Winners and their guests will need to either:
o Purchase general admission tickets, or
o Hold a valid Zoo membership. - The prize is non-transferable and a cash alternative is not available. ZSL reserves the right to terminate, amend or extend this promotion without incurring liability, in the event circumstances affect its ability to operate the Prize Draw. We will not be responsible unless required by law, for any loss, changes, costs or expenses, which may arise in connection with this Prize Draw and we can cancel or alter this Prize Draw at any stage.
Selection and notification of the winner
- One (1) winner will be selected at random in a draw from all eligible entries received.
- The winner will be contacted directly by ZSL using the email address provided at the time of entry.
- ZSL accepts no responsibility for any entries that are incomplete or illegible for any reason.
- If you don’t hear from us, we’re sorry but you haven’t been successful this time.
- The winner will need to respond within the timeframe stated in the winner’s email to confirm their experience booking.
- If the selected winner does not respond within 7 days of the first notification attempt, if any notification is returned as undeliverable, or if the selected winner is determined to be ineligible for the Prize or to have failed to comply with any of these Terms and Conditions, ZSL reserves the right to withdraw prize entitlement and the prize will be forfeited and an alternative winner will be selected. Upon prize forfeiture, no compensation will be given.
- This experience will take place on a mutually agreed date between the winner and ZSL before the end of 30th April 2026.
About the experience
- The experience can include up to six participants per group.
- The minimum age for participants is 5 years old.
- Younger children are welcome to watch from the viewing area with supervision and may help their parent or guardian feed the fish.
- This activity is not suitable for anyone with allergens to seafood.
- All participants will be given latex-free gloves to wear during the experience.
- Please arrive 15 minutes before your experience start time to sign in and meet your host.
Safety and behaviour
- For everyone’s safety, please follow all instructions from our zoo team at all times.
- Anyone not following guidance or behaving in a way that could cause harm or disruption, may be asked to leave and the experience may be ended.
- We recommend wearing comfortable, weather-appropriate clothing and sturdy footwear, as parts of the experience may take place outdoors or near water.
General
- ZSL reserves the right to amend, postpone, or cancel the prize draw or experience, if necessary, for reasons including, but not limited to, animal welfare, health and safety, or operational needs.
- By entering, you agree to these terms and conditions.
- All decisions made by ZSL regarding this prize draw are final and binding. No negotiations will be considered.
- Employees of ZSL, volunteers, agents and anyone else connected with this Prize Draw, are not eligible to enter.
- The experience is also subject to ZSL’s standard visitor terms and conditions, which apply to all experiences and bookings.
Data Protection
- By entering the Prize Draw, each entrant agrees that any personal information provided by you when you enter this Prize Draw, may only be held by ZSL for the duration of the Prize Draw, and used only for the purpose of administering the Prize Draw.
- If you have previously signed up to receive email communication from ZSL, or you have ticked the box to sign up whilst entering the Prize Draw, ZSL will retain and use your data in line with our privacy policy.
Governing Law
These terms and conditions shall be governed by English law, and the parties submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
