Meet the Tigers

Get up close and feed world's biggest cat, the Amur tiger, with a special Meet the Tigers experience.

Please note that our Meet the Tigers experience is currently unavailable due to Czar, our Amur Tiger, leaving Whipsnade in mid-June. Please check back in mid-July for an update.

Ticket and Voucher Holders:

We can’t yet confirm when a new tiger will be moving to Whipsnade Zoo, and have taken the difficult decision to cancel bookings until end of July. All ticket holders have been contacted directly if your experience has been affected.

For voucher holders who have not yet redeemed their experience, we will be honouring vouchers which may expire over this period. Please do contact us at [email protected] if you have any further questions.

This is a once in a lifetime experience to meet and feed a beautiful Amur tiger. Hosted by an expert zookeeper, you'll get a unique insight into the life of an Amur tiger and the chance to ask questions about these incredible animals.

Book meet the tigers

Tiger experience

This 20 minute VIP experience begins with a health and safety briefing from our expert zoo keeper. You will then help our Zookeeper feed an Amur tiger whilst learning more about these amazing animals. There will be a maximum of four people taking part in the experience, giving you lots of time with the tiger and zoo keeper.

Tip: Meet the Tigers takes place behind the scenes and due to the small group size, spectators are not permitted access to this area.

Meet the Tigers experience includes:

  • Meet and feed an Amur tiger
