Looking for things to do with toddlers? Join us for free Toddler Safari sessions on Mondays and Tuesdays during term time. 

What can my toddler do at Whipsnade Zoo?

There's so much fun for toddlers at Whipsnade Zoo, from our children's farm, to our soft play. And, if you're visiting on a Monday or Tuesday, we have our dedicated Toddler Safari! 

Whether it's waddling like a penguin, finding rainbows in the Butterfly House, or stomping like our crash of rhinos, join us on our Toddler Safari sessions where each week we go on a mini adventure to explore the natural world around us. 

We know that little ones have a lot of energy - this is the perfect way for them to let off steam, meet other children, and learn all about some of our animals. 

These sessions are approximately 15-20 minutes long and take place during term time only. Activities are aimed at toddlers between two and five years old but other ages are welcome to join. 

When is Toddler Safari?

The session starts at 11.30am and last for approximately 20 minutes.

How do I join a Toddler Safari?

• Whether you're a parent, grandparent, guardian, or childminder, all are welcome to join us for our Toddler Safari! 
• Joining these walks is free of charge on paid entry to the Zoo or membership.
• There is no booking required for these sessions
• As we play outside whatever the weather, please ensure your child has suitable clothing and accessories.
• Sessions are term time only - they do not take place on Bank holidays or during school holidays.

Where is Toddler Safari?

Each week Toddler Safari will be based at a new location. Check out the "What's On" Board at the Visitor Centre by the main entrance, or download our app to find out the location for this week's Toddler Safari. 

Childminder membership

We now offer a special Membership for registered childminders as an 1 Adult and up to 6 Children package. The childminder membership costs £242 for one year and grants access to all Gold member benefits. Childminder members can flexibly bring up to 6 children they care for into the Zoo with them on the day. To sign up, please email [email protected] with your up-to-date Ofsted registration details.
