Autumn is here, and it's time to dig out your coats and boots, get out in the crisp fresh air and reconnect with nature.
By joining as a member you can enjoy great days out with free entry to both of our Zoos, for a whole year. Here's what to look out for when you visit Whipsnade Zoo this autumn.
Wind down with Whipsnade Zoo walks
Whipsnade is the UK's largest Zoo, and there's so much to discover around our 600-acre nature haven.
Enjoy autumnal strolls with a themed walk of the week to meet like-minded visitors, hear from our experts, and discover more about the work that goes on behind-the-scenes. There's no extra charge, the walks are included in Zoo entry or membership, book your place in advance here.
See the season's colours change and soak up the gorgeous views of the Downs. Grab a takeaway coffee and spend some quality time looking out onto the beautiful Chilterns countryside, with our free-roaming wallabies and mara for company. Or, as Gold members benefit from 10% off in our restaurants, stop for lunch at Viewpoint Kitchen and Deli, in the picturesque spot close to our southern white rhinos.
Warm up surrounded by butterflies
Autumn is a stunning season to explore the Zoo, but we know it can sometimes get chilly. Our heated Butterfly House is the perfect place to escape to. With more than 30 different species from around the world, it's one of the largest butterfly biomes of any UK Zoo. After immersing yourself in a world of beautiful butterflies, head through to our Aquarium to discover the deepest, darkest secrets of freshwater fish.
Create lasting memories at Hullbazoo Adventure Play
Our Zoos are perfect days out for all ages, but if you're visiting with children, they'll love our Hullabazoo Adventure Play, next to our farm. From bridges and swings, to tunnels and even sit-on crocodiles, young explorers can let their imaginations run wild. And, if the weather isn't on your side, don't forget about our Hullabazoo Indoor Play too - book slots in advance.
